Can't decide between a European-style Briard or American? This combination is the result of very careful consideration, mentoring, and strong precedents. These same distinctly American and Euro lines have been combined before, by some long-time breeders, with very successful results...typey Briards with excellent structure and temperaments. Great showdogs...performance and companions too!
Udo is undisputedly one of the best moving male Briards in the breed today, and is almost universally appreciated by anyone who has met the dog. His breeder/owner, Terry Miller, can elaborate better than I:
"Udo has been the top sire in the breed for the past three years which means he has produced more champions than any other sire. In this regard, he and LaRu have something in common. Her sire, Fr. Ch. Picon Biere des Plaines de Brotonne is a two-time winner of the stud dog class at the French Nationals. He is known for passing along incredibly stable temperaments with good working instincts, in addition to great beauty and type. LaRu's brother, Quito, followed in his father's footsteps by winning the stud dog class at the 2008 Briard Club of America National Specialty.
